This week took on a very autumnal feel here in Seattle. There was an underlying chill, even when the temperature hit 70 F, and the days are perceptibly shorter. Born and raised here, it’s the kind of weather I don’t even consider “weather” at all; it’s just perfect.
Here’s a sewing project in progress, a long overdue gift for my cousin’s baby girl.
My friend Katherine gave me these beautiful beets from her garden. I roasted them forever in olive oil and seasoned salt, then mixed them with goat cheese, lemon juice, thinly-sliced zucchini and a little more olive oil.
Orson’s been even more interested in snuggling since we’ve come back from our trip to California. I think he’s glaring at me because I’m getting out of bed.
